Sustainability

At Pebbles Resort, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and integrating sustainability into our daily operations. Our Sustainability Management System (SMS) is a structured framework that focuses on processes to reduce our environmental impact, on our socio-cultural responsibility, on our economic sustainability as well as on the well being of our internal and external customers; our team and our guests.

We are proud to share that Pebbles Resort has officially achieved GSTC Certification, a prestigious recognition of our ongoing dedication to sustainable and responsible tourism practices. This certification, granted by RoyalCert International Registrars, confirms that our operations meet the rigorous global standards set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

This milestone reflects our continuous efforts to reduce our environmental impact, support our local community, and provide guests with an experience that respects both people and planet. At Pebbles Resort, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s a way of life.

Sustainability Practices

  • Eliminated all single use Shampoo sachets/bottles and Body Soap sachets, replaced with a high quality Hair & Body Wash refillable dispensers in each bathroom and public restrooms.
  • Reduced the consumption of individually packed portion yoghurts, replaced with bulk packaged yoghurt.
  • Introduced a complete waste management system that segregates glass, mixed waste, recyclable waste, organic waste, BCRS and batteries.
  • Reduced all individually packed jams and replaced with bulk packaged jams and marmalades.
  • Introduced Sustainable Cocktails in our menus, using techniques to reuse citrus zest and fruit trimmings into crafty drinks with distinctive flavours.
  • Replaced a significant part of the cleaning detergents from individually packed to a pump-based dosage system into refillable bottles.

Recent Social Actions

  • We plan to install a solar panel system to heat the indoor pool, replacing the use of fuel.
  • We are in the process of replacing some appliances, namely all room televisions and laundry washing machines to more recent eco-friendly models.
